Front Entry Hardscape & Curb Appeal Enhancement

Paver Entry Patio, Front Walkway, Step Reconstruction, Pillar Features, and Landscape Integration

Front entry paver walkway and hardscape design in Flat Rock, MI

The Project

This Southeast Michigan home already had strong architecture and mature landscaping, but the front entry lacked the structure and visual impact needed to match the scale and character of the property.

The original entrance felt narrow and dated, and the transition from the driveway to the front door didn’t create the welcoming experience the homeowners wanted for guests arriving at the home.

GLC Landscaping & Pools redesigned the front entry with a larger paver landing area, upgraded front steps, and architectural pillar features that helped define the entrance and create a stronger sense of arrival.

Large-format pavers were installed across the entry patio and walkway to create a cleaner, more refined appearance while improving circulation throughout the front of the property. Contrasting border accents added definition and helped frame the hardscape layout without overwhelming the design.

New pillars with integrated planters and lighting elements introduced height and symmetry near the front steps while complementing the brick exterior of the home. Existing landscape beds and mature greenery were preserved and enhanced to help the new hardscape feel naturally connected to the property.

The finished result creates a front entry that feels more open, polished, and intentionally designed while significantly improving curb appeal from both the street and driveway.

Every GLC project begins with thoughtful planning and a clear design approach.

The team evaluated the existing entry layout, elevation changes, drainage considerations, and how the hardscape could better support both function and curb appeal. The goal was to create a front entrance that felt more welcoming while maintaining balance with the home’s architecture and surrounding landscape.

Once the design was finalized, GLC’s in-house team handled demolition, site preparation, paver installation, step reconstruction, pillar construction, and finishing details.

Because the project was managed by one experienced team from start to finish, the homeowners always had clear expectations, organized communication, and confidence throughout the process.
