The Project

The Baker family came to GLC Landscaping & Pools with a clear goal. They wanted to transform their backyard into the outdoor living space they had always envisioned. The finished result is a complete outdoor environment where every element was planned and built as part of one cohesive design.

GLC Landscaping & Pools designed and built a complete backyard transformation centered around a rectangular fiberglass pool surrounded by expansive large-format paver decking and carefully planned landscape enhancements.

The pool layout was intentionally kept simple and architectural, allowing the scale of the patio and open sightlines across the property to become part of the experience. Wide paver borders surrounding the pool create generous circulation space while giving the backyard a clean, organized appearance from every angle.

Integrated lounge and seating areas provide multiple places to gather throughout the space without interrupting the open layout. Strategic landscape plantings around the perimeter soften the hardscape edges while preserving visibility and maintaining the modern feel of the design.

The finished backyard feels balanced, spacious, and professionally designed to support both everyday use and larger gatherings outdoors.

The Process

Like every GLC project, the transformation started with a detailed design and planning process.

The team evaluated the size and layout of the property, backyard grading, traffic flow, and how to maximize usable patio space while maintaining clean visual lines throughout the design.

Special attention was given to pool placement, patio scale, drainage, and backyard transitions to ensure the finished space felt cohesive and functional from every perspective around the home.

Once the design and scope were finalized, GLC’s in-house team handled every phase of construction, including pool installation, hardscape construction, grading, planting installation, and final detailing.

Because the project was managed by one experienced team from start to finish, the homeowners had organized communication, clear expectations, and confidence throughout the entire build process.
